It has been raining for almost a full week! That is VERY unusual for here. Two areas not too far from here have been evacuated because they are worried the dams will not hold. :( If it doesn't stop then Santa will have to come around in a boat. JK ;)

We've had flooding an hour or so away from here... it's crazy... rain should NOT be happening in New Brunswick in December.

All the snow has been washed away :(

I'm in southern CA, but rain isn't unusual here at this time of the year. It's been raining since Friday.

YES! I'm in the Southwest also. I haven't seen this much rain the the last five years! It's awful. Our backyard is a big mud puddle.

Today was dry, but I was just outside and the rain has started again. It's been raining since Friday. The drive between the house and the barn is flooded and all I can smell is wet cows and wet cats.

Y'all must be in the Tucson area or Phoenix area? I heard there were major flash food watches there. We finally got some rain but it stopped this evening = ( darn. I swear, in the SW our "snow" is rain! lol

Rain in Southern California in December is certainly not unheard of... but in my area there's been almost 3 3/4 inches of rain in the last 36 hours, and it needs to be pointed out that the average ANNUAL rainfall runs to less than three times that. It doesn't help that local soils are mostly adobe clay, and the clay's pretty well saturated now: if there have been no mudslides by this time tomorrow, I will be very glad but very surprised.

It's been snowing here most of the day (started with rain though)... There's a big relief effort going on down by the border with Maine... many families are currently homeless, and have lost Christmas presents, family photos, books, electronics... meanwhile, people are robbing the liquor store in a canoe, because the police can't catch them, since they don't have boats.

Isaid before that it's been raining since Friday, but today (Wed.) have been spurts of HARD rain.

They say tomorrow, there will be no rain, but I don't know.

Rain, rain, go away - come again another day!

We're spoiled, I know, but the kids NEED to go out for recess.

A tree fell on one of the teacher's car last night, some streets were closed due to flooding and traffic is a MAJOR pain in the ^%$$$%!

    It must be global warming.....

I don't really read the news but I just went and looked. Six homes in the Beaver Dam area have been completely destroyed and others damaged. I hope everyone is ok. :(
