My teacher partner and I want to add this to our classrooms next year. The website has several books listed. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a specific one (or two) that you found to be the best. Thanks in advance!

If you can, I would suggest going to a training. I went to a week long training that my district offered. It was a good.

I went to the week long training. It is so worth it.

Also, there are some great videos on youtube of the RC staffers doing many of the games and songs.

The training manual is sometimes available on amazon. It is called:

Responsive Classroom -- Level I Resource Book

It is the book you get if you go to the training.

I have The Morning Meeting Book and 99 Activities and Greetings. If you'd like them, just PM me.

I have the Morning Meeting book, and it's really good. I am starting to think that an everyday Morning Meeting consisting of all the items they require would be too time consuming and get a little stale. But, I like the idea of some kind of morning meeting that includes a greeting and a fun activity.

I think a "must-have" is The First Six Weeks of School. I am planning a lot of my beginning the year activities based on this book.

I also have Rules in School and one about classroom design and one about closing circles (can't remember their names off hand.) All are awesome books. There are a few things I don't know if I could do, but overall great ideas.

Oh, I also have the grade specific one for first grade. Excellent! Great ideas and really easy-to-implement ideas!
