Do you pack everything up for the summer?

I have to pack away my entire space since it's used for a summer program. Everything goes in boxes and gets stored until I come back in August. What about you? Do you have the opportunity to go through everything?

I packed everything this year due to our move. Usually, my classroom is used for the summer program and I have to put away a lot of things. I always hated that because the people who ran the summer program were slobs.

Oh, I hear you about that. The first few times I left some things out for the summer program and it never returned or returned in unusable condition. Now I know better.

    Is your school moving?

Wow! I love it! Are the cubbies in the classroom?

We have a new building for next year too. The only disappointment is that our rooms are a lot smaller than yours Patty but the cabinets are the same. If I get a teaching position instead of an aide position I'll just be thrilled to be in a new room with my own smartboard, overhead projector, new furniture, etc. :)

Yes, the cubbies are in the room. I wish they weren't. At our last school, which used to be a traditional grade school, there were lockers in the hall way. The room is bigger than my last room. The elementary rooms are smaller and they have bigger cubbies.

I can see having the cubbies in the classroom as a fairly big distraction. Hopefully it'll work out well.

Gotta love a bigger room. :)
