No kids for me. I want to get pregnant this year.
I have one that is 20 a son that is in Iraq. One son that is 16 in the 11th grade. And a daughter who is 11.
We have a lovely daughter who will be 9 in just a couple of weeks, and twin sons who are 6.
My boy is going into 1st grade this year.
I have a daughter that is 10 and a son that is 8. They have been away at camp this week and it has been the hardest week of my life. I have never been away from them....
My son is 17 (18 in November) and will be leaving for university in a few weeks. My daughter is 14 and starting high school in the fall.
I cast my vote for "in and out of the house" because, although my son isn't gone yet, I'm trying to get used to the idea
Two boys and a girl for me!
Two boys, 15 and 13.
I have one son who will be 14 soon.
None. Find me in 5-6 years.
Two daughters here; they are 19 and 20.
Ummm. . . 3 sons; 8yo, 5yo, and 2yo
no daughters (sigh)
My 8yo is thoughtful and links concepts easily, is ahead of the curve on every academic measure, enjoys learning, and often gets into trouble at school for behavioral issues. He is funny, good-looking, and physically strong, but socially naive and slow to make friends.
My 5yo is incredibly enthusiastic and can make friends with anyone he meets, regardless of language, age, or gender. His preschool teacher cried -- a lot -- at his pre-K graduation. He is (so far) average in intelligence and has limited English proficiency. He's the one in my avatar pic right now.
My 2yo is extraordinarily determined and self-focused (I suspect his breath-holding syndrome is related to this). He also has an almost eerie ability to mimic behaviors with great accuracy and has great motor coordination. This has helped him learn to throw a football (with a step and body twist, holding the football in the correct manner) and to drop-kick a soccer ball.
Despite our wish for a daughter, we are not trying for any more -- too expensive! The three we have are some of the most wonderful kids I could imagine.
one 4 year old boy
I have a son almost 21 and a daughter 23. They both are still at home, one saving moneyto move out and the other trying to get into a nursing school!
I'm having my first at the end of January - don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl, but hubby will cry if it's a girl
We have a one year old girl, and are thinking of trying for another baby sometime this school year (try to time it for summer??)
1 4 year old daughter here. We were pregnant last year, but unfortunately lost her. We haven't decided if we want to try for another one or not since I had problems with both pregnancies.
Two daughters - like Mrs C losing one to college this fall and my youngest in starting high school this fall.
They are at this moment 17 and 14
Not yet, probably after I finish my Masters program in 2-3 years. I love children!
I have three kids, 16,14 and 8.
There wasn't an option for "No kids, still deciding whether to have any."
My husband and I are completely unsure about whether we want to ever have kids. We're pretty much right in the middle of the spectrum, with occasional, tiny slips to either side (for, against) from time to time.
For now, we've decided to table the issue until my husband is done with school. After that, we'll re-evaluate and make a decision one way or the other.
I've known for years that if I ever wanted to conceive that it would be an uphill battle. Fortunately, that seems to be coupled with a lack of a desire to try, which makes the situation much easier. Add to the mix a husband who doesn't want kids AND who went through multiple facial surgeries to correct a congenital jaw defect, and we're both happy being parents to the cat and guinea pigs.
I have two sons...YIPPEE...I am QUEEN of my domain.
My sons are 4yrs. old and 22mths. Although, today I am ready to sell them to the gypsies. LOL.
Sons 24 & 15 Daughters 34, 34, 32, 17
My kiddo will be turning 7 in a few days...time sure does fly when you have kids!!
My daughter just turned 16. Oh, my! hmy: She will have her license before school starts. She'll be a junior this year.
My son is 10. Yesterday he was a baby. Where does the time go.
That is so funny! I say the same thing. Sometimes I will say "the red wagon is on its way. I wonder how much they'll give me". My son knows I am kidding--sort of.
6 month old daughter
Here they are
I have a 13 yr old son staring 8th grade! Keep him in your thoughts since we just moved to Utah and he knows noone..
IrishDave, thanks! :woot: They do have a red wagon! Look at all those children. I'll have to show this to Joseph.
I have three boys ages 9, 7, and 6. And if you count my uncle who lives in my house, I have a 49yo too...
I have a 20 year old daughter who lives at home and is a junior in college to become a high school counselor. I have a son who is 14, learning to play guitar, going into the 9th grade (homeschooled), and looking for a job. And I have a daughter who is 5, almost 6, going into first grade (homeschooled). Big age gap, but wonderful blessings!!!
None now, but if it were up to me, I'd want a pair of male & female twins.
4 kids and only 2 pregnancies that is lazy
That is lazier then
“a man that was so lazy he married a pregnant woman”
Well, I am not sure if I can actually have kids-long story. However, my husband and I have chosen not to have any, and for this I am apparently evil, according to some of my relatives. I love kids, of course, but there are some major concerns as far as genetics issues. I think the last thing we are being is selfish, but some of the relatives think we are horrible. It does not bother me, really, their opinions.
The decision to have kids is very personal. Don't let overbearing relatives make you feel guilty.
Thanks, mmswm. I am learning how to deal with my crazy family and I am getting better every day. It amazes me that people can voice their opinions, with something so personal. I worked with a woman who said we had no right getting married if we "refused" to have kids.
I have a 20 year old daughter, a 16 year old daughter, and a 15 year old son.
sad...some people are just plain stupid. Why should you deny yourself the love of your life just because you don't want to have kids???? That makes no sense to me. Kids are great, but they are a lot of work and require a lot of sacrifices. That decision is only for you and your dh to make, and nobody elses.
