Do you have any pre standardized testing rituals?

The other day for the end-of-grade science test the science teacher in my grade level walked around tapping each desk, murmuring something to herself...it was a desperate attempt to send good luck vibes to the students, I guess (it didn't work, btw:()

Next Tuesday when the kids test in Reading I intend on tracing a "4" on each student's desk with my hand. A 4 is the highest score a student can earn on these tests. Silly? Yes!! But I feel the need to do something!

We can't be the only two teachers who go to silly lengths to "help" our kids pass, are we?

Dr. Scholl's Gel soles. I get a new pair the evening before testing begins. Keeps my feet from aching but doesn't help my knees much. Still something is better than nothing when you have to stand mostly still for up to four hours.
