I looked into that website one time...because I get bored on my purses easily...however for the price it costs to rent it made more sense just to buy it and own it (in my opinion at least.)

I am all for simple purses. I tend to be drawn to Kate Spade for that reason. I don't like buckles or letters or colors-simple, square, large.

I have a really, really difficult time finding purses for that reason. They are all so over the top.

I never got all the fuss over expensive bags, but I had a gift card from Macy's so I decided to buy a nice expensive purse.

I got an Etienne Aigner and I love it. I call it my "big girl bag."

However, after Christmas I noticed a huge deep scratch in the leather, probably from putting it in a cart, and there is a spot on the back. That was really disappointing. So I think I need to stick with $20 and under bags. :)

I found mine at Dillards on clearance. I don't know if you have Dillards stores around you or not. That's the only place around here I've found them.

Oh, great!! :) They usually have different colors for different seasons, so my guess is that within the next month or so they'll be clearancing all of the "winter" colors and putting out the summer ones.

Mine was less than $40 on clearance.

And I've been using it for almost a year and I've not had one problem at all.

I usually use one purse until it falls apart or someone gives me a new one. I havn't BOUGHT a purse myself in years. My sister took me to the Coach outlet one year and let me pick out one for my birthday. It was less than half the original price so I let her buy it for me. I can not see spending $300 on a purse! This one is black leather with NO writing on it. The only way you can tell it's a Coach bag is by the little tag. Nobody would even know what brand it was unless they looked closely. I have been using it on and off for over 2 years and have no need for a new one.

I love purses . . . and I've got all sizes and price ranges. Most of mine are in the moderate price range, but I've got some cheap and expensive ones as well. Sometimes I luck up on an expensive purse at a consignment store or Goodwill. My best purchase was a Gucci bag with a broken strap for $5. I paid an additional $5 fo repairing the strap.

I've got all kinds. Right now I'm carrying one of my flashy Kathy Von Zeeland bags. I was carrying a Vera Bradley one before that, and a Liz Claiborne one before that. I just ordered a Dooney giraffe print bag.

Some time last year someone (maybe Ms. I?) posted about seatbelt purses and I have wanted one ever since. I have hinted and flat out told my boyfriend I wanted one but no:(

I would just bite the bullet and get one for myself but I am buying a puppy so all my money is spent on her. I love them!

I just don't know what size i would get, they either seem too small or too big

sue35, yes, it was me! :) I have the medium tote & it's a nice size. I can hold my wallet, small cosmetics bag, sunglass case, water bottle if I need to, & few other small things. It's 11 x 7.5 x 4 inches.

    http://www.seatbeltbags.com/medium-tote-zip.html

I have a few, but that's the one I use the most. I actually hardly use the others, which are messenger styles because the strap is too wide.

They're very nice, have a big range of color choices, durable & will last a VERY long time. But, I don't know if I'll get any more.

Congrats on the new puppy BTW. I remember when I got my little love. What an exciting, fun time! :D

I am not into brand names, but right now I am really into brown leather purses. The choc. brown slick ones. I also really love pockets. The purse I have now has 2 pockets one for my cell and one big, deep enough to put pens/pencils in and not have them fall out. Thanks to my sis for that nice birthday/Christmas gift!

Ms. I are the straps long? They look long to me, but hopefully they aren't because I am short. I am going to ask my parents for one for my birthday.

I am so excited about the puppy. She is a pug and so little!

Not for the medium sized tote. In fact, the straps can be longer for me & I'm 5'3". The main thing I hate about most purses these days are the straps are too short. I don't like carrying a bag right under my armpit. I like the purse to hang right above my waistline.

Aww, Pugs are one of my favorite breeds! Have fun!

I LOVE my purse! I just received a new bag for Christmas, and it is wonderful. It's really big and wide, which is great because I can throw school stuff in there, too. It's a dark brown leather, and I absolutely adore it.

Since we're talking about purses...I bought one of those big purses so I could put my dog in it when he was really little. I thought it would be fun to carry him around like that LOL He HATED it!

    Oh, I forgot this bag.

My friends always called this my "bar purse" because they said it was easy to clean in case of spills, and it would make a good weapon if any creepy guys tried to make a move on me.

Ima Teacher, I've seen those before. A store in my area called SteinMart carries them. They're really unique.

I'm coming into this late & haven't read all the posts, but am I the only girl who HATES purses!!! UGH!! I've tried different ones, but I just can't stick with it. I'd rather just carry my billfold in my jacket. I think one thing is I have a fear of leaving it somewhere. I remember my leaving hers in different places...luckily to find it!!!

You know, I've never been into labels. My purse has to look cute and needs to be functional for me. Lately, I have found really great purses at Aldo. It's a store in the mall and they are more known for their fancy shoes. But they have a great purse selection, the most I've spent on a purse there is $40! :)

I have a wonderful handmade leather bag that I've used for years. I keep going back to it. It's plain and soft, and looks very classy. It's held up very very well. No scuff marks and I've had it for about ten years.

I got a White Stag purse that I got from Wal-Mart. This is my second or third one now. Quite honestly, it doesn't who makes my purse. All I care about is how small it is and how nicely my things fit into it.

I have a coach purse, coach wristlet, and 2 dooney's...all gifts from my mom over 14 years.
The one I currently carry is an LSU purse that my bf gave me....I love LSU :) I normally wouldn't carry that kind...but he spent such a long time trying to find it.
