Do you bring your laptop to work each day?

I don't see how a school could enforce not allowing a teacher to bring in their laptop to work on if they are not getting on the network. Seems like something pretty easy to hide.
At our school we don't have laptops, everyone has desktops that run well most of the time. I believe I am on my 3rd one though since being there.

Years ago I was told I could bring my laptop but I couldn't connect to their network unless I donated the laptop to the school/district. Um... Ya... NO! I bought one of those usb at&t internet cards so I could use my laptop and it would be MY LAPTOP.

I occasionally bring my personal laptop into school. We have school issued ones, but sometimes I've needed to use one while the other was hooked up to the Smart Board. (Like, when doing individual assessments and I had tasks for the rest of the group up on the board. It was easier to bring in the laptop than figure out another way to display all of that information.)
