I have tried 2 times to review this product:
    http://www.reallygoodstuff.com/product/self+adhesive+pencil+clips.do#PowerReview

I gave it 1 star, and was very polite with my not-so-good review. I tried submitting one review in February, and another in July. Neither one of them have been published. I have reviewed other products, and those reviews have gone through. So, I think they are selective with what they publish, which is ridiculous! It is so frustrating, because I think this product is just awful, and I feel sorry for anyone who wastes their money buying it!!!

I was thinking of buying these, so, Thanks! Overall, I've been happy with everything I've bought there thus far.

Could you contact them and let them know about how the product was defective? Perhaps they'll give you another set as a free replacement.

It's interesting how many people comment on the fact that they break easily, yet still give 4 stars and say they would recommend.

I'm glad you posted. I was going to buy them. I had a problem with something I ordered this summer and they were really quick to send me a similar item when they couldn't replace the one I bought.

I gave my class a "lesson" on how to care for them at the beginning of the year, and I still had 20 out of 23 break within the first 8 weeks of school. Even my most responsible students had broken ones. The worst part, however, was trying to remove the sticky part! I spent about 90 minutes of my winter break with Goo Gone and a razor blade, scrubbing at the desks.

I am considering buying these, because they seem much better, but they are so expensive! I don't think I can justify spending $30 so that my students can have a pencil handy. But maybe they would last for more than one year...?

Thanks, it is good to know that I can't trust the reviews on all of the items on Really Good Stuff. I guess I will really have to read what people wrote rather than just looking at how many stars they gave it.

I thought these looked neat. I have never tried them but it seems like a magnet would be less likely to break since it would just fall off if it was bumped into instead of break.

I bought these from Office Max last year for $1 each. They held up REALLY well and I plan on reusing them this year. However, you will need to restick them as the adhesive wears out. I highly recommend them!

I would definitely contact the company. Did you save the broken ones? Honestly, I'd ask for a refund. I don't understand how someone can say "flimsy construction" yet also say "reliable". That makes no sense.
