Hi, I sent a cover letter and resume (only required those two things) to a first grade posting 2 weeks ago. A second grade opening was just posted yesterday for this same school. Do I send another cover letter and resume for this specific opening. The school has not interviewed for any of them yet. I did call and ask the secretary, and she said no it was not necessary to send another. I am unsure. Would you send another and would it be identical to the previous with just the grade interest changed? Thanks

Probably not necessary, but what harm could it do?

It depends... what did you write in your cover letter and resume? Did you mention that you'd be interested in "an elementary position" or did you mention only that you were interested in the first grade position?

If you wrote that you were searching for an elementary position, then you're fine. If you said that you're applying for the first grade position, then send them another copy specifiying that you're interested in any elementary (or primary or whatever) position.

    Good luck!
