Hey Y'all I am looking for some activities or projects to do for DNA. I am a new teacher and I am about to begin this new unit next week and I am having issues finding some cool stuff.
Neighboring teacher have suggested making DNA with Candy and cut outs. I was wondering if any of you other Science teachers have anything useful for me?

Well extracting DNA from strawberries is always a big hit, and it's cheap and easy to do. You can even look at your DNA under a microscope!

I once made DNA jewelry. It was more expensive than the normal DNA model stuff, but the kids loved it. I bought beads and they made themselves either earrings or a bracelet that looked like a double helix.
