Are you talking about teaching opportunities or in general?

Does anyone have firsthand experience with the hiring process, similar to US school districts?

You will need to apply and then wait. Vacancies are not necessarily posted as much as admin is given a pool of names to interview. It could be a good long wait as these are very desired jobs. The likelihood of getting a job in Europe is small but could be greater in the Pacific. You are a more attractive candidate if you have multiple certifications and can be shuffled around easily in the schools on base. You also have to consider that there are military spouses who will have preference, etc... Openings overseas are coveted. Suggestion- apply to the DoD schools stateside. It is the same application process and you would have to be willing to move to a military post but you are in the DoD system.
