Writing prompts for each day until Friday, Dec, 23, 2005 are posted on my web site, which is linked below. Sorry they are a day late.

Sources for the historical events are listed at the end of the prompts.

Since it is a free site, it will only take so many hits per hour.

So many people have hit them that the site has passed its limit for the hour.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The prompt for tomorrow is:

Friday, Dec. 2, 2005: Def Leppard's Rich Savage was born in 1060. Def Leppard's name is very unusual and spelled in an unusual way, to arouse curiosity and interest among listeners. Suppose you wanted to start a music group. What name would you choose to attract people to listen to your music? Think of several, and try them out on your classmates.

I just love your writing prompts. I wish my little ones could use them... if they could write. :) I pass them on to the higher grade teachers. :)

I have a question... how do you determine what trait you use each month?

We use the 6 pillars and have it based on this schedule...
    Aug & Sept. - Responsibility
    Oct - Trustworthiness
    Nov - Citizenship
    Dec - Caring
    Jan - Fairness
    Feb & March - Respect
    April - Trustworthiness
May - Caring and review all the traits.

It correlates with the student organizers the schools have.

Our district set up the following schedule several years ago:

    Sept. - respect
    Oct. - Self-discipline
    Nov. - Caring
    Dec. - Responsibility
    Jan. - Integrity
    Feb. - Cooperation
    Mar. - Citizenship
    Apr. - Trustworthiness

For the other months, I use four of the cardinal virtues:

    Natural virtues:
    Prudence
    Justice
    Temperance
    Fortitude

    Theological virtue:
    Charity
