Day 1 in the Books

    Day 1 today! Things went quite well. They spent the first couple of hours working on a "menu" of activities (classroom scavenger hunt, making name tags, writing a bit about themselves, etc). I was able to get a lot of info about them by how they approached things, and by how much they were able to get done. Overall, they have the potential to be a great class.

    Now...off for an early bedtime!

    That is awesome! It's great that you got the chance to get to know them Day 1.

    You have been teaching for much longer than me but I feel like it is always nice to have the first day over with. :)

    There is always so much hype and excitement aboutthe first day, but I think that the rest of the first week is more important in setting the stage for a successful year.
