My district cancelled for tomorrow.
I live in a subdivision (which has not been plowed or salted) and my street is DRY. Not wet- DRY. Now, I will lose ANOTHER day from spring break.
This is definitely a huge downfall to living in the south! Back in MI, they would not have even blinked at 4-5 inches.

How funny-- we have a foot of fresh snow on the ground, and there will be school tomorrow.

Yeah, it's funny how different "states" react to snow!

We have a good foot now, too. But none of the side streets or developments are cleared.

Lucky. School is closed for staff, too. I may go in as I have a huge project on Friday which I am NOT ready for.

We are in tomorrow.. There are still some slick spots (where it refroze after melting today) but we will be there tomorrow since it's already 9:45 and I haven't heard anything yet. Oh well, I feel much better than I did yesterday and I got my differentiation sheets done. So I can't complain (too much )

You guys had me going.. I just checked.

A handful of districts on the East End-- about an hour and a half from here-- have delayed openings.

And a few nursery schools are closed.

Other than that, as of now anyway, it's business as usual tomorrow.

We didn't get any snow here in Ohio. But, it is miserably COLD!! And the strong winds make it so much worse. BRRR!!

We have a 2 hour delay (Maryland area). I think it's mainly so that they can be sure the school sidewalks and parking lots are safe and ready. We got about 8 inches here...and now it's re-frozen.

I LOVE 2-hour delays! Just enough to get all excited about, but it won't count as a snow day!!!

It almost hit 90 degress in Phoenix today. We've had about 3 month of "cool" weather. While I don't think I'd like months and months of snow, I would like at least some cold weather!

It is only 14 degrees here in NC! Yikes!

Apparently a couple of schools are without power, so the whole county shut down for the day  That is what I hate about the school districts down here that are county-wide. My school has power, yet because a school 20 miles away does not, I do not have school. Grrr....

If we go three in a row, I am seriously doing to something, LOL. I do not know what, call the school board every five minutes, maybe...

We started on time. We had scheduled a long homeroom for a guidance assembly. The only nod to the weather was that we took attendance at 8:20 instead of 8:10.

At that point I was missing one student in my homeroom of 40 kids; he was there about 2 minutes later.

Two-hour delay tomorrow. I have no idea what these people are thinking (although I LOVE two hour delays!!)
But, I went to school for a couple hours today and the roads were completely DRY.

Giraffe, we have much in common! I'm also in CMS (Charlotte district) and I LOVE giraffes! Yeah, I went to school in Kansas, and they don't close down when the first flurry hits the ground! I was glad for the day off, but they need to build snow days into our calendar! We lost Presidents' Day work day, our 3rd quarter work day, and Memorial Day!

I'm not in CMS, I'm in RSS.

They tried to make us come this Saturday to make a day up and decided against it. We have to give up our 3/30 workday and Memorial Day, too. And, we now have a teacher work day over spring break. I am NOT looking forward to going from Spring Break until the last day of school with no breaks  It will be torture!

Does a 2 hour delay mean you have to stay longer at school since you came in later?

We've had some 50 degree weather here, but a snowstorm is moving this way for the weekend. Monday we're flying off to Vegas for a week. That will be a shocker!
