Here is my prediction, from first voted off to winner:

    Audrina Patridge
    Margaret Cho
    Mike Sorrentino
    Florence Henderson
    Michael Bolton
    Bristol Palin
Kyle Massey (I have no idea who this is)
    Rick Fox
    Kurt Warner
    Jennifer Grey

Down to the final two...Brandy and David Hasselhoff...

And in the finale, I'm going with...don't Hassel me, I'm going with the Hoff to take it home!

Kyle Massey is a Disney Channel kid...apparently he can dance (not necessarily ballroom, but he's got some moves) and if he's charming, he'll probably do well if he gets the young/teen votes.

I have to admit, I'm not really excited about this cast...there's really no one I'm interested in watching! Usually there are at least a couple I'm curious about.

Yeah, this list is pretty underwhelming to me too. I like Jennifer Grey just because DD is my favorite movie, and I think David Hasselhoff will bring an Osmond-esque vibe to the show, but the rest...eh.

I think that's Corey in the House (and Raven's brother on That's so Raven)

Will someone PLEASE explain to me how Bristol Palin qualifies as a 'star'? Because her mom ran for vice president while she was a pregnant teen???????? Really????

I agree, giraffe!!! I hope that she doesn't last too long.. Her 15 minutes of fame should have been up a long time ago. I don't have a clear, cut fav though.

I think Florence Henderson might surprise everyone! I am also happy that Hoff is going to be on. I still like the guy - I think his mess ups have made him seem more like a real person to me. Yet he keeps hanging in there and, softie, cries on American Idol!

I'm updating my prediction after the first episode, from the first voted off:

    Margaret Cho
    Mike Sorrentino
    Bristol Palin
    David Hasselhoff
    Michael Boltin
    Florence Henderson
    Audrina Patridge
    Rick Fox
    Brandy
    Kyle Massey
    Kurt Warner

    And the winner is...Jennifer Grey!

I think this is probably the LEAST talented group of dancers recently. None of them really stood out as great dancers.

I was probably least impressed (based on what I thought about her to begin with) with Brandy. I didn't think she did very good, although the judges seemed to like her.

Audrina Patridge surprised me as not being terrible.

Kyle Massey was cute, but he's gonna get annoying fast.

Jennifer Grey made me cry! I <3 Patrick Swayze...

I really thought the Hoff was going to be a LOT better than he was. I was thinking Danny Osmond-esque. Um, no.

KC...did we have this discussion on another thread about how certain overtired members of this forum needed to get some sleep tonight?

But, but, but...it's Dancing with the STARS!!!

(Oh, and Jimmy Kimmel, who has picked either the winner or someone in the top 3 every season--except one when Ian Ziering finished 4th--also picked Jennifer Grey. Jimmy "Nostradancemus" Kimmel!)

I agree that Jennifer Grey is in the lead. I thought Hoff would be better, too. Not to mention the Situation. They embarrassed him pretty well. Audrina was worse than I expected, but Bristol was better. So was that football player. They didn't appreciate Margaret Cho's attempt at humor, did they?

I love Chelsie Hightower..... poor her for having to deal with Michael Bolton..... (though I love When a Man Loves a Woman)

    Brandy was really good, too.

But, after watching So You Think You Can Dance, DWTS comes off as sooooo corny.

Are stoning her to death and saying she doesn't qualify for Dancing with the *Stars* really on the same level?

I dont watch the show but since the wife was I took a look at CP. She looked like a statue with the whirling dervish partner doing his Taz imitation. But I will say it takes some ovaries to get up there in front of a very judgeMENTAL world and try to cut a rug.
Besides, as a PE teacher I believe in dance. An outlet for creativity as well as fantastic exercise.
As for stoning, I think the big scarlet Awill do fine:dizzy:

I just have a feeling Michael Bolton will go tonight, not that I want him to! I wasn't impressed with Margaret Cho, at first I thought well, she's not bad, but then the comedy part of the dance really ruined it all. Loved Jennifer Grey.

I was thorougly entertained last night; while I don't care for Margaret Cho at all, I LOVED her! haha - I hope after last night's words from the judges, she takes it more seriously.

Since someone has to go; I'm with that Situation kid. It has nothing to do with his 5 days of practice either.

I don't care for this show too much. Buuuuuuut, Kurt Warner retired last season...so instead of watching him on the field...I have to watch him on the dance floor! I hope he stays til the end!!! :)

Before the first episode, I so thought he would be decent. No-he's just a whiny, old, wrinkly geezer!

Luckily, I changed my predictions after the first dance. I'm going with Jennifer Grey!

I was glad Hoff went home. He did not look at all and he looked creepy.
