I promised you a tour... so does a 10-minute video with slideshow and walk-around tour suffice?

This video took forever to upload to my domain, between figuring out the video player, uploading a number of video player files in general, and where to post the codes on my website. Yet... it's done. I am EXTREMELY excited I am almost done with the room... and that now I know how to post videos on my classroom website.

This is excellent! I am very jealous of the space that you have in your classroom. I especially enjoyed the "places we've visted" map ( or whatever you called it :) )Thank you for sharing this.

There are a few parts that need touching up, but overall, it's getting really close. Time to enjoy a theme park and other time out with family/friends! Re-lax-a-tion! (A brief one, anyway...) :)

Your room is awesome! My room is 1/4 the size of your room.

My room looks HUGE in the video. I don't think it's as huge as it appears. I stopped at one moment and thought, Holy cow! I am fortunate! I think the camera is playing tricks on us all... but... back in 2004, though, my room was probably half the size of this room, and I had to fit as many students in it. My list cannot exceed 22 kids, and then, my list could not exceed 18 kids.

What I saw looks great. I didnt' watch it all because my computer was loading it really slow and I got a bit tired of the spinning circle appearing every 2nd picture :). I always love seeing pictures of other people's rooms.

Thanks for the tour of your room. It's nice to see it progress into the theme you chose this year! Thanks for the neat idea with the post cards. I'll need to remember to keep mine instead of give them to the children.

Do you generally like placing your desks in E formation?

I have liked putting my desks in a horseshoe formation with some desks in the middle section in the past. It has kept the class focused at the beginning of the year without resorting to rows, which I have never done. Probably about three or four weeks into the school year, I will change to groups or maybe groups in L-formation.

a little off topic (okay, a lot off topic), but how do you pronounce your name? Every time I see your name I think of a jazz dancer.

Thanks! I am excited to see any other photos or video tours as well.

The pronunciation of my name is Jazz-tell. Don't worry, I think of jazz music as well. :) LOL.

    Don't worry, I say "Oop-man". ;) Just kidding.

I am still thinking of gathering a few small things at a party store (perhaps) for the Tomorrowland library. All I need to do is: organize math centers once they are laminated, re-label the other half of the plastic drawers in the room, and spruce up a few spots, particularly the library.
