I just binge-watched Locke and Key on Netflix. Very good and spooky! I also binge-watched I Am Not Okay With This, also on Netflix. Amazing!
Locke and Key is based on a comic book so it's kind of sci-fi or fantasy I think. If you like that sort of thing it's a fun show. I'm waiting for the second season. Has anyone watched Umbrella Academy? I think the 2nd season of that one is coming out.
I read that book over 15 yrs ago and it kept me glued. Of course, the movie was not as good as the book. Still it was very disturbing. I don't have cable or Netflix. I seldom watch TV, but during this time at home, I have found 2 shows I like. The Masked Singer was a fun show. Then there is 1 I watch now every night almost. I should know the title, but it is about Rittenhouse Hospital w/ Lou Delgado being the main character. I was never into hospital shows before, but it is a good one.
I am on the last season of How to Get Away and I am starting to lose interest-- I am hoping to get through the last season. I am a huge fan of the King of Queens! I missed it while it was on the air, so I am catching up on this now!
I started watching that too. It is one of those safe shows. Cute enough to keep on while doing other things but not something you just have to keep binging through.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger.... it does. I'm wondering where they will take it.
TV Shows Been Watching Since Certain Shows Stopped Airing: Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted In the Dark World of Dance Yum & Yummer Man vs. Food The Kitchen Hawaii Life Bahamas Life Ghost Adventures Family Ties Next will watch Gidget (Sally Field) Recent Movies: Back to the Future I & II so far Rush Hour I & will see the rest soon too I've still got TONS of DVD movies to still watch
Last show I really got into is Mindhunters (on Netflix). I'm hoping for a third season but that's up in the air. Currently rewatching Line Of Duty (Amazon prime). Very suspenseful, even though I remember the basic plot lines and who the "bad guy" is. Looking forward to The Babysitters Club being released later this week (Netflix). Pure nostalgia on my part. I loved that series so much when I was age 10-12!
I have been watching waaaay too much tv - netflix and hulu Star Force - comedy Last Tango in Halifax - British...drama? a bunch of British detective shows. One had a lot of actors from doc who Unorthadox - miniseries Shittzle (spelling?) - has the main female lead from Unorthadox when she was younger as a supporting role. Money Heist - dubbed, but so good it's forgivable. (Often dubbed takes me out of the fictional world - this one didn't) The Atwood one everyone mentioned that I keep forgetting name of...Hand maid's Tale. what else? There is so much great story out there! I love it! And now I'm seeing a coupe of things mentioned that I will have to check out. I wish I had Disney Plus to see Hamilton...but not ready to add another cost at this time. Nor have I finished exploring the ones I have. ...And I haven't even mentioned the time traveling K-dramas.
If someone is looking for a great teacher movie. Stand and Deliver is now on Netflix. It is based on a true story about a math teacher in East L.A. It is well done.
I'm on Season 2 of Doctor Foster. If you need to feel better about your own life and current situation just watch this show and be thankful your life isn't a mess like this lady's LOL
My husband and I watched the new Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. He really liked them but I thought they were just OK. Also on Netflix I finally finished the 2 seasons of Dr. Foster. Not bad but the characters were real jerks and I wasn't surprised when bad things kept happening to the characters.
I watched a season of Absentia on Prime video this weekend. There are 2 more seasons and I can't imagine what they will come up with because I thought the whole story wrapped up at the end of season one.
Hubby and I have been watching Brooklyn 99, which has been entertaining. I'm rewatching The Crown for the 3rd or 4th time... and catching up on Critical Role on youtube.
Now that I am totally "off schedule" I found a really sweet show on at 4 am. It is called (something) Private Eye. The main character is deaf and really sweet on the show at least. There is some chemistry between her and another character. It is mostly about how a deaf person can help the police by reading lips. It always ends well too.
I started watching the new season of The Umbrella Academy. I got up to the 4th episode but we lost our internet due to Isaias so I'll watch some more when I can.
Umbrella Academy is great. My daughter introduced it to us and we all sit and bing watch as a family now. The wife and I are looking forward to The Boyz new season on September 4th.
I just binge watched 3 seasons of a Netflix show called High Seas. It's a Spanish show but dubbed in English. It takes place on a cruise ship in the 1950s I think. If you like period shows this one is really interesting.
Current new favorite show is The Good Place. Hubby and I binged almost all of season 1 in a Saturday, and are almost caught up through season 3. It’s so funny and wholesome.
We watched The Weakest Link on NBC with my teenagers the other night and laughed pretty hard. I think because it was rather stupid. Not sure it'll be a show we watch regularly but it was a fun change of pace.
Just finished the Boys Season 2. That's one of the most mainstream things I watch, otherwise I'm pretty eclectic (lots of foreign stuff, Bollywood and Korean/Japanese dramas, some dark action stuff, and some sci-fi/fantasy). I'm looking forward to the third season of Cobra Kai.
My husband really likes the Blacklist so we watch that sometimes. I want to start watching some scary/Halloween stuff on Netflix. I finished Emily in Paris and might start The Haunting of Bly Manor.
