Hello everyone! Would anyone be willing to form a study group or does anyone know of any tutoring services for the CSET? I'm trying to pass the first math subtest and I could use all the help I could get! Thanks in advanced!
Hey Perla, I have been studying solo for Subtest I for the past year+ now. I've taken the exam 3 times, with my score climbing with each attempt. I'd love to help you out as much as possible, and I would be great to bounce some concepts off someone with more math acumen than I. Message me if you're still interested!
You're more than welcome to start your CSET Math I study group here, in one or more study group threads in this subforum. One caveat: Please do not discuss actual specific teacher-test questions on A to Z. The companies that administer teacher tests require test takers to agree not to divulge actual specific test questions; they monitor sites like this for compliance, and they can and do take action against violators. With that said, though, let me emphasize that there is nothing wrong with discussing topics on which a specific test question depends, nor is there a problem with discussing specific questions that aren't test questions. An advantage of putting your study group in public, so to speak, is that A to Z members who've taken CSET Math I or other states' tests that are roughly equivalent, or who happen to know the math, may notice a post and stop by to offer insights.
