I'm thinking of switching my cell phone service. Does anyone have any information concerning Cricket's service. Their coverage is supposedly the same as AT&T's, but they have unlimited texting and calls, and 5GB, for only $40 (that includes tax). I'm not interested in unlimited GB; I'd be more prone to use my desktop for most Internet. I guess the main question I have is this: Is their offer too good to be true?
In my experience with cell phone coverage, it's best to talk with people in your location to get their opinions. Some providers may have great reputations nationally and cover a lot of areas but may have poor service in a particular location. Think about the places you frequently go, as well as the route along the way. Would you have reliable coverage at home? At work? At your in-laws' house an hour away and along the freeway to get there? I have Verizon, which is pretty expensive. It works everywhere, though, even in places where a lot of other people's phones don't work. For me, the reliability is worth the extra expense. You'll have to decide if it's worth it to you.
Woah! Well then that explains the mystery why AT&T's shop moved down several stores in the shopping center and Cricket moved in to where AT&T was. Interesting.
I should have known better. No typical American sports fan would tolerate a game that lasts for 5 days and frequently ends in a tie! Although, to be fair it is more interesting than Baseball!
Seconding this, except you do have to have one of only 5 or 6 specific phones (and it doesn’t work yet with iPhones). But it is a lot cheaper, and you get a credit for your unused data.
