My "theme" this year is Mrs. O's Oasis. Everything is sort of an island theme in my room. I'm looking for a creative title for my word wall, which I use mostly for Social Studies vocabulary. Thanks!

Maybe you could do something like "That's a WHALE of a WORD"? I was just picturing the words on sea creatures.

    It's cheesy, I know... LOL

An Ocean of Words, put them on fish cutouts, and tell them the words are resources right out there in the wide ocean. They just need to "reel" them in.

Studies At Sea? You could have some kind of social studies background and then put all of the words on water shapes.

I have a beach/ocean/island theme, too. My world wall says "Sailing Towards New Vocabulary!" The alphabet letters are written on sailboats. You could also use "Word Waves"

Our Island of words or Island Words-since the words you are studying about are in isolation--all on their own as a part of a whole!!
