Does anyone else here LOVE dressing up for Halloween as much as I do? I don't know if I'll have anywhere to go, but I am thinking about what I'd like to be... hmm... We can't dress up at school though. Last year I was Pippi Longstocking and I have to say I was pretty cute! hahaha.

If you are dressing up, what are you going to be??

Pippi Longstocking hmm did you bring your monkey and horse to school? A lot of schools are discouraging dressing up. Kind of takes the fun out of it when you can not mention Halloween and have to say fall festival.

I could not dress up at school. I wish! But I dressed up when I went out with some friends. Yes, I had a monkey around my shoulder (a stuffed one from dollar tree). Complete with the boots, 3 different kids of socks/knee highs, and red braids coming out of the sides of my head.

I have been thinking about what to be for Halloween too. I have been in the past I dream of Jeannie, Olive Oil (bf was Popeye), a Witch, Hershey Kiss, Crayon, bunch of Grapes. Maybe I'll be Dorthy from Wizard of Oz this year.

I LOVE Halloween!!! I don't know if we can dress up at my new school, but we couldn't do it last year.

As a bit of a history nerd, I am going to be Cleopatra, whether I dress up at school or at a party. (I'm working on getting my boyfriend to be Marc Antony);)

Dress up as a skier haha. Or go buy those scrubs doctors wear and wear scrubs, and get one of those dust masks at Home Depot and go as a nurse or doctor.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. It seems that for girls in their young 20s, it is slutty Halloween! Ew! I was so the misfit last year... but who cares!

This year I'm thinking... Hermione Granger?? Long black robe and bushy hair... so attractive

    I'm thinking maybe
    Little Red Riding Hood
    Alice in Wonderland
    Dorthy

I suddenly miss my husband. He is the Halloween nut and I barely tolerate it. We go out as a family for a while but after the cuteness wears off I'm bored. So he drops me off and keeps the kids going. This year I gotta pull the weight and I don't mind taking them but not for that long!

I tend to agree--I usually wear Halloween accessories--black T-shirt that says "Boo" in orange letters, black pants, jack-o-lantern earrings, etc. I always paint my nails black and orange. This year, I took the easy way out and registered for an in-service workshop on the 31st--no Halloween for me!

I am going to be the tooth fairy. I bought a cotton dress at target for 8 dollars. I bought white wings and a tiara. I cut out teeth and outlined them with silver and I will use that for a wand. I have a white purse with silver on it and I have silver ballet flats. I am so excited!

The staff in our school usually tries to do a theme. Last year was the 50th anniversary of our school so the teachers all dressed in clothes from the 50's. The year before there was some teacher inside joke with pigs so everyone was different pig characters (The Three Little Pigs, Miss Piggy, Wilbur...). Does anybody else's school do this? I'm sure we will be trying to think up a theme again soon, so I'm looking for suggestions!

I used to work at another school and one year we did the Wizard of Oz. I was the lion. Another year we did Nursery rhymes. I had short hair at the time so I was Jack from Jack and Jill

I despise Halloween, but last year I wanted Jeannie to experience Trick or Treating. I rolled her hair in prickly pink rollers, put her pink with white bunnies bathrobe over her clothes, put hot pink lipstick on her, and a little blush. I think she wore her slippers. She carried a rolled up newspaper and a coffee mug.She was supposed to look like a lady who just woke up. I carried her candy bag. Every one said her 'costume' was the best one they saw all night. One man said she resembled his mother in law!

When I was subbing there was one teacher that did that just that...Always had to come up with a quick costume. One year a softball player, I had a snow white costume, bull rider.

    I love to dress up!!!

Dressing as Mimi from the Drew Carey show is fun and easy.

This year I will be the energizer bunny. I found pink PJ's for the main part.

Okay, I found some boxing gloves. I might use eye shadow and give myself a black eye, wear track pants and a t-shirt and put a robe on...
