My kids are not motivated and are mostly failing. This means I am failing. I am looking for new and cool ways to teach algebra. I use algebra tiles, notes, partners, etc. I came across this Survivor idea and plan to try it. I am going to go all out and decorate the room and dress up and play the part. Now, for the point of the post.

    1. Has anyone done something like this? How did it go?

    2. Do you have suggestions for making the room more jungle like?

I tried it last year. It went over well for one quarter, but the kids lost interest the next grading period. I must say, though, I didn't do a very good job with it.

    I'd give it a try!
