I just read about this on a blog post, have you guys heard of the Teaching Channel? I hadn't heard of it before.

    https://www.teachingchannel.org/

It has videos of ideas for the classroom. I am such a visual person-I love to watch videos of teachers doing their thing.

I don't know about you guys, but our PD has been cut way back. There aren't as many options as there used to be-I think this could actually count as hours.

I've seen the actual tv channel and watched some shows (at least I think it is the same thing), but I didn't know about the website. It seems great. The shows I've seen were almost always for elementary teachers and I wasn't able to pull a bunch out of them. The site has a nice breakdown of videos on the left of the screen so I can specifiy what might help me.

    Thanks for sharing!

Ooh, I love that is has a common core section. Our district has begun adopting it in the primary grades and we're next!

    EDIT
Okay, so the videos make my computer really laggy. The good news is that they have the videos on youtube as well.

    Really great content. :thumb:

    EDIT_2
Omigosh, thank you so much for sharing that link. It inspired me to make a Common Core Web Talk section on my blog. Thanks, again!!

Asking students to contribute a ‘cool resource’ to the week’s learning materials is greatly encouraging for the students.

Thanks! I had seen this before but it got lost in the Favorites (way too long and unorgabnized a list.) Definitely worth bumping back up to the top!

I too love this resource! It's been great, especially working with flipping the classroom!
