I bought a Wilton Cookie Press yesterday. I decided last year after searching for a sugar cookie recipe that I liked, that I just don't really like sugar cookies. lol. I like the more buttery, shortbread like spritz cookies. So now that I have the press, I don't just want to use it once a year. Anyone have any good recipes besides the traditional spritz cookies? It came with a recipe for cheese crackers which intrigued me. I was wondering if anyone had some other creative ideas.
I love spritz cookies . . . I'll also be interested if anyone gives other good recipes! I love my spritz cookie maker - it's just FUN to use!
I have never made any of these but had fun finding them, so here you go. Maybe I need to put a JoAnn's coupon to use and buy me a cookie press! These look yummy... http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...emary-cheese-spritz-cookies-recipe/index.html Not sure about this one, but it's an appetizer with a pressed out cheese cracker and a sausage mix pressed through it as well. http://www.ehow.com/how_5492106_make-appetizers-cookie-pastry-press.html According to someone in the comments, you could press this recipe through it to make "wiggly straws." http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/06/cheese-straws/ Ham and cheese crackers... http://www.cooksrecipes.com/appetizer/peppered_ham_and_cheese_crackers_recipe.html
I have an electric cookie press. I love spritz cookies, especially the ones with the cream cheese in the batter!
