Is the system successful? Are there any tricks or advice to get the most jobs. Have orientation to sub in a couple of weeks.

I think its very easy to use, We used it for the past 4 years, this year we switched to Aesop.

It depends on how your district has it set up, for 2 years teachers could request subs using our 3-6 digit number (if they knew it-so I would always leave it for the teachers on my notes) But then they took that option away in my district to make things fair for all I guess.

    Good luck!

I am using aesop right now in my current district, so I'm just comparing the two.

They are pretty much the same in my eyes..the only difference is that when Smartfind express calls the phone number would come up UNAVAILABLE on the caller id rather than the 1800 #

No problem, with aesop its nice if both districts you work for use it bc then you check for both at the same time and the calendars are combined so that you dont have to worry about double booking!

I have only used smartfind express so I have nothing to compare to.
the thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't tell you if you were requested. you can tell at first when the job comes up (there's one part that says yes/no for requested). But after that you don't see if you were or not! So, if you don't check for that and accept the job, you will never know if you were requested! Or, if it phones you the job (and you don't find it online), it doesn't say if you were requested.

I think teachers can request subs on SEMS, at least on the phone version.

SmartFind shows local numbers on my phone. I even saved those numbers and set up a different ring tones.
