I was wondering if any teachers could tell me how they have dealt with conflicts they have had with parents?

    Welcome.

I have very few conflicts but I always maintain a professional attitude when conferring with parents.

I just changed schools in my district due to pink slipping and have had a lot more parent complaints...not about my actual teaching, but about low grades. Anyway, I've found that I always do better talking to parents in person, but if they seem especially irate I may start with email :) Also, if there is a parent I don't feel comfortable being alone with I make sure that there is another teacher or the principal in the room during our meetings.
