    Amen and Thank You!

I wholeheartedly agree! When I returned to college to complete my degree, my husband disagreed with my decision to take French (for the reasons you stated above). He felt that I should take Spanish, because it is becoming "the nation's minority language."

LOL, that was a thread about certain Church moral teachings regarding certain sexual practices. It did cause an extended debate on the subject. Belief net is a discussion forum that explores different beliefs.

I hate attention. I'll do anything to avoid it. The only time I wanna' attract attention is in the classroom. People used to stare at me everywhere I went, from the time I was an adolescent.

Okay, there is no doubt about it. This has now officially become a soap opera/novella! My girls just returned from school. They asked me what had happened since lunch! They went to the school library during lunch to check the forum and see what was happening here!!!

I'm taking this thread, started by eduk8tr, off of my subscribed list. I just can't stand it...

That's really harsh, Garden Dove. I don't understand this at all. What should I do?

Why doesn't someone PM Christy and see if she can copy Garden Dove's original post and past it as post #1 on this thread.

I don't know about Kirby, but I just bought a Dyson. Talk about suction - they weren't kidding!

I'm considering purchasing a Dyson, because we have 2 cats and a Border Collie, and the hair is about to choke us both! SOme days I swear I could spin thread from all the "wool" on my carpet! Would the Dyson do better than my poor old Kenmore?

I'll ask my colleague at school tomorrow. She just bought the Dyson made especially for picking up pet hair - it's called the Dyson Animal! I'll let you know.

I've asked Amanda to take a look at this thread and make the final decision. In the meantime to avoid any other issues, I'm going to close it. If you want to continue the discussion on language you can start a new thread on that, or you can start a thread in the chat forum: http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/forumdisplay.php?f=82

Not surprisingly, I couldn't fix it. :sorry: I put everything back together. I think the issue is that some people want to continue discussing grammar while most of this thread is entirely off topic. For those that want to continue on with the grammar part of the thread, move on over to a new thread. If you want to chat, move on over to the chitchat forum. I'll go ahead and 'retire' this thread. We may need a "Retired Threads" forum so we can reminisce. Threads like this one need to be distinguished from measly old "closed" threads. :D
