Those are cute! I am thinking about papazan style chairs from Walmart that are fluffy and purple, but I worry about lice.

I want these back jacks. They stack really neatly, the covers are washable, but they cost a lot. I wish DonorsChoose had these as a choice...

I love it when I see comfy couches or loveseats in classroom libraries. It makes you want to sit and read - of course you have to have room for it.

I used to have a bathtub with a cutout with cushions as my reading seat. It was just really heavy and too much to move.

An inflatable kid's pool with a vinyl-covered beanbag in it would be very comfy and fun! If you have room for it.

Unfortunately, my space is kind of limited.... I have to fit 30 kids plus all our furniture in a 24"x26" room!! AGH! That's why I kind of like cushions - those could easily be picked up and put in a large tub for storage.

oh, I understand. My first classroom was 28' x26' - no room.
My new classroom is larger and I am contemplating a small loveseat.

Oh, they have those cute little kids sized recliners. Those would be adorable and kdis would love them.

I got a few wingbacked chairs from freecycle. That and Craigslist are a great place to find free furniture.

A loveseat would be SO nice. I'm jealous of those of you with large rooms. :)

oh, I've seen loveseats and couches in small rooms. While it can look cramped, sometimes it's done and looks cozy. Personally there have been times when I would have loved to have a comfy seat to sit down at even for a few minutes during my conference.

You might try Goodwill and garage sales.

I have the round papasan chairs. They do take up a ton of room, but the kids love them.

When I had a regular classroom, I used the fold-up camping chairs in my reading areas. They arebig enough for kids to "lounge" a bit, but fold up nicely out of the way when not being used.

A couple years ago I built a rocking chair for a friend's classroom; the kids seem to love it.
