I am a new Special Education teacher. What do all of you think is the best co-teaching model to follow during my first year? I will be doing mostly inclusion, with one resource class. I was told to research what co0teaching model is the easiest for a first year special education tacher and go with that. I wanted to get your opinion. Thank you very much for your tips and responses in advanced.

I think the best thing to do is contact the gen ed teachers you will be working about and then together you can come up with an effective way to co-teach.

Things may be different with every teacher depending on experience, pesonalities and the students involved. Some teachers may want you to almost literally sit with the students you are there to service, while others will be open to you taking on an active role with all of the students ( even to the extent ot teaching lessons or units if you would like to). You will both need to be flexible while you figure out what will work the best.
