I know I posted something like this last year but am still looking...I want to set up a classroom website or blog to replace my weekly written newsletter. I really don't want to pay for it if I don't have to...but don't want a bunch of pop ups either....what is the best way/ place to go about this? Thanks for any and all advice!!
Wix is seriously neat. I am considering making a small info. site for my club on there because I love the features.
Wow! I love your site, especially the animated parts (Movement). I currently have Teacher Web.com I really like it because it is easy to use. However, I wish the templates were more flexible (meaning I wish I could use different colors together or styles. Here's my site. The graphics are from a different site. http://teacherweb.com/MO/GreenRidge/Harrison/
I had a boring site through the county, but I saw someone else post theirs on here a few weeks ago and saved it because I loved it. I was so impressed by how simple wix seems to be! I put together the site yesterday in a couple hours, and I know the kids will love it. I figure, the more I hype it up, the more they will use it!
I think this year I'm going to try doing a blog on blogger. I tried a teacher based website creator last year and spent $30 bucks...never got around to actually using it. I think I was so busy that actually doing a real website got to be too much, but I think a blog will be more manageable and still easy to post pictures if the parents have signed a permission slip.
I use weebly and have never had any issues. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but certainly adequate for a newsletter. They have also added a blog function where you can do daily updates for parents as well.
