Ok, it must be time to wind down from summer and start thinking about school again. I feel like my nights have been typical of the school year - waking up, thinking of an idea and not being able to go back to sleep. So.... for my first couple of years teaching K3 I moved to what ever room would be available that year. 2 years ago pre k finally got our own hallway. I loved my room set up that first year but ECERS docked me for my writing center and housekeeping center being too close together - it actually worked nicely for me because the kids worked together to make list, write letters, etc. So last year I moved my centers but did not love it. Now I think I need a total overhaul. Do you have any pics of your entire room layout or know of any good sites with pics? Thanks!

If you just search for "preschool classroom" and click on images, you'll find a bunch. I had this one in my favorites list: http://s963.photobucket.com/albums/...112/AKS105/?action=view&current=100_0051.jpg&

    This is a K room I found cute: http://www.teacherweb.com/TN/HENDERSONCOUNTYSCHOOLDISTRICT/SHE-DanaRobins/ap3.stm

Here a some reading corner ideas: http://www.bulletinboardpro.com/readingcorner.html

This one depresses me, so cute!: http://www.gilmoreps.act.edu.au/__data/assets/image/0013/63220/Classroom.JPG

My writing center and dramatic play corner are right next to each other. Good thing I don't have to follow ECERS. I'm probably doing everything wrong. :)

We had issues with our Fire Marshall last year, so we are all a bit "shy" on what to use creatively that won't be cited and told to remove. (I am honestly going to wait until after he does his thang, and have some fun ~ unfortunately it's after school starts).

Befiore you get all gung ho ~ please check with your director/ pic to go over the do's and don'ts of the local fire marshalls.
