Does anyone have their classroom ready or close to it? I would love to see pictures to help me with the set up of mine. I teach 4th/5th grade social studies.
My classroom is good to go from year to year. One thing I strongly recommend is to offer each of your students a cardboard apple (I use these in my own classroom) and ask each of them to write their name. Then, hit the back with a glue dot and have them choose a space in your classroom to stick it. This gives each of your kiddos ownership of your classroom. Seriously, I work with high school students, and they LOVE finding their names every time they walk into my room.
