What are some of the best sources you have found for classroom posters? Thanks in advance!

What kind of posters are you looking for? www.reallygoodstuff.com has a nice selection. You might try www.teacherdirect.com also.

Personally...I find that the pretty posters that I buy from catalogs don't get used much. They just hang on the wall. But posters that I make with my class get used a lot! It helps the kids take ownership of their learning!

The premade posters I've used most have been the Pledge of Allegiance, posted up next to the flag so the kids can follow along, and a parts of speech set. The kids really used that one a lot--they'd look there to get ideas for nouns/verbs/adjectives etc., and I'd pull one from the wall to focus on when we began a unit of study. I got both the Pledge poster and the parts of speech set at my local teacher store.

YOu can get free posters from teachingtolerance.org. they are beautiful! I ordered a set and use them at the beginning of the year before I have any student work or art up!

I buy them from Dollar Tree most of the time. School Specialty has good deals for sets of classroom posters, the set I have has one for telling time, months of the year, seasons, days of the week, and a few others I don't remember.
