I was so excited when I spotted Skippy in one of the picstures! I love all your little stuffed animals and library storage.

What are the blue shelves on the board and how did you mount them?! They look awesome.

    Magnetic shelves

are from Lakeshore. They can hold 2-4 books depending on the weight.

Your room is GREAT! I love the mailboxes and the treasure chest of books. I also love the prefix-root-suffix puzzle pieces, cute and inspiring idea.

What is the book gutter for? Does it have a specific purpose?

    Gutter

I place all my read alouds in the gutter as "Books We've Shared" so students can read them whenever they have extra time.

    Nice, colorful room!

I have the Lakeshore pockets that are magnetized on the board, also. Idiom of the week sounds awesome. The state cutouts (for Florida) are in my classroom as well on a bulletin board. The treasure chest with the books in it seems like an excellent idea (Do you feature books this way?). Also, I would love a magazine holder like yours. Besides that, I have seen that colorful lamp before you have near your books.
