Is it customary for a Montessori nursery to ask parents to attend a full day class before registering the child? Didn't happen before so not sure what to do about it as it would be really hard timewise to go and quite a strain financially.

Had my son in a Montessori before and there was no such thing required plus i was able to visit the school before. This nursery says for security reason I cannot visit. And I don't know anyone who goes there to at least get another opinion.

To expect a parent to attend class before enrolling their child then not allow them to visit after the child is a student seems very unusual to me. At my school you are allowed to visit before choosing to enroll your child, but it's just a brief visit or two. Then, you are welcome to join my class any time, especially if you would like to share something or help with a project. Hope this helps!
