I teach first and I happened to meet the mayor of our city recently. He agreed to come to visit our first grade classrooom and be a guest reader and I would also love for him to answer some questions about his job and duties. The problem is I don't know what book I should have him read to ou:dizzy:r class. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Usually I tell the person to bring in a favorite book of theirs or their children.

Or you could try La Rue for Mayor....

Very cool that you were able to meet him and that he agreed to come in and read. I would go with Amerlia Bedelia. It is simple, funny and the kids will love it.
