circle time chants for thanksgiving

Does anyone have any chants w/ music similar to spooky walk? I already have "Going on a turkey hunt" (learning colors) and "five fat turkeys scratching in the hay" (subtracting). :):thanks:
 
I find one I think I'm going to like, then at the end the turkey is killed and eaten. Whats up with that? I know that it a part of Thanksgiving... but do we have to sing about it?
 
wow, I had the same thoughts about "Looking for dracula!" what's with that accent anyways! nothing personal, but we are trying to teach the kids the correct way to talk! and some of them get scared easily! I am shadowing this teacher, and she played the same 5 songs in a row, 4 days a week! On friday, she was out...and I didn't play one song! sheesh!

I rather do bear hunt!
 
lol 5 song 4 day a week! wow!!! What turkey song kill them at the end? The one I have says "she'll serve them for dinner, but when you turn the page the turkeys are sitting at the table being serve corn cobs. The turkey hunt song says "we don't need an arrow and we don't need a gun, I'm looking for the turkey with his feathers colored____. What songs are you listening to?
 
Children can tap on their lap or tap on drums& bells- goes to traditional American Indian beat. while you put up flannel turkeys as you say the colors.

I normally follow it up by removing one turkey and asking which colored turkey is missing.
 
I don't know who music is by, I have a cd copy of a copy, it was left behind by last teacher. Lyrics aren't much without the music, my lil ones are able to folow the simple beat and they enjoy guessing which turkey is missing.
 
MY co-teacher last year had "The Turkey Trot" that was really cute, but I have NO idea what CD it's from.

lol that's ok I have the music on CD, I would share it , cept I'm computer "slow" and can't seem to send it so it can be opened. I will search the net for that song maybe it will come up.

Did you ever find it? My teacher used to play this song and I'd love to hear it again
