My siblings and their spouses and I do a Secret Santa every where where we make up an Amazon wishlist and then share it. I can't think of anything fun to put on my list. We usually put around 10 items of various prices and pick some to buy but do not go over $100 total. Anyone have something cool on their wishlist this year? Doesn't have to be necessarily from Amazon since there is an "idea" spot where you can put ideas if you can't find a link to what you want.

Do you have any hobbies? Do you collect anything? In the “other” list, are there any things like a magazine or Hulu type subscription you would enjoy?

I read most books through Overdrive, but a few of my favorite authors have new books coming out, and I like hardback copies of those to keep.

I like unusual advent calendars! Those are fun to open even after Christmas, makes the festive season fun last longer!

I had a hard time coming up with items to tell people for this year as well. The thing that I really want is an air fryer (finally hopping on that bandwagon, ha) but I feel like it's too expensive to ask other people for.

I ended up putting the following on my list: new/different colored bands for my fitbit, Olive and June nail polish (not on Amazon, but Target sells it), a new purse, new case for my phone, games for my Nintendo Switch

When I want to get something big (last time it was a new pots/pans set) I asked for some Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards so I could put them all together go shopping after Christmas. For our secret santa gift cards are not allowed (boo!!). So far I found some slippers on Amazon. I need to figure it out this week!

I think as we get older our list dwindles since we probably have all we need or really want. My DH’s two sibs like to give a Christmas gift. We asked them not to send things but it fell on deaf ears. Finally, we asked them to make a donation to a charity in our name. We do that for them as well.

My wish list from DH for under the tree: a red flannel shirt and a Lanz flannel nightgown.

Exactly. I don't "need" anything. During the year I sometimes make a note of things that I could use, such as the new slippers, but I would actually love some restaurant gift cards or something like that. I actually would love a new knife block for my kitchen but I think the ones that are worthwhile are probably over the $100 limit. I actually could use some wine to stock my wine rack

MacBook Air. I usually get a tech gift every year. I'm mostly Windows and Chrome OS but I'm diving into Mac this year.

That's awesome. I was thinking about getting a new laptop but we're not Mac people so I'd look into something else. My husband is really techie so he'd love to shop for that kind of stuff.

Windows or Chrome OS would probably be your two choices. If Windows, then I'd recommend at least 2.0Ghz processor, 8GB memory and an SSD, drive size would depend on how much stuff you'd want to save locally on the drive, but with cloud services, it may not be that much. Same specs for a Chromebook.

This is what I have found too. I don't know anyone nowadays that needs anything. If they want something , they buy it. It used to be so fun to buy things friends or kids needed or really wanted. When I was working, it was easy to find a family in need and we'd all shop for that family. ( Someone removed from us would deliver it all.)
I had a boy 1 year who wrote on his Christmas wish list that he wanted meat for Christmas b/c a squirrel was not enough for his family. That was a fun family to shop for!

I love throw blankets and I usually get/give some every year for Christmas. I always carry a clean one in my car for when I go to the dentist (I always freeze in there!) and now when I go have my chemo treatments (diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of Sept.). How about a nice fluffy bathrobe to go with the slippers? Do you wear hats? Maybe you could pick out a nice warm hat and gloves to use for recess/bus duty. A movie and/or a book. I love to read cozy mysteries but I don't splurge on new books for myself. Maybe a puzzle if you enjoy putting them together.

Hope everything goes well with your treatments, tigger88:heart:

Agree, an extra cozy throw blanket or fleece zip up is always nice to have. (I love the fleece hoodies made by CuddleDuds--Macy's sells them, and they are often on sale for $20 or less.)

Fun lip balms or hand creams are also good for this time of year.

If my trumpets could figure out what a concert F sounds like and actually play it in tune, that would be enough for me...

But seriously, we do the same thing at my work. I've got some books, there's a trumpet case in there (very specific to me), and some other smallish things.

I got a robe last year! I bought some slippers last year but I want ones that are more comfy. I saw some Sketcher slippers on Amazon that look good.

I am so sorry that your family hates to read so therefore they don't get you any books!! That is really sad :( It makes me sad that so many people do not enjoy reading. I know that when I was working on getting my teaching degree that there were many education majors who didn't enjoy and/or like reading. I wondered how they were going to be able to get their students excited about reading if they didn't even enjoy it themselves?

Yes, I just end up buying my own books. Or just going to the library. My nephews like to read so I always buy them books.

I'm tempted to ask for a new curling* broom (mine is second-hand), but I have a feeling that it's probably not something I can find on Amazon, at least not in the US.

*For those of you who have no idea what curling is, check out this cute video.

I actually love to watch curling during the Winter Olympics. My DH doesn’t get it. There’s a curling club in Philadelphia and I always joke that I’m going to take him there one day for a date. Lol Enjoy your hobby! It sounds like so much fun.

Ok, so far I have on my list:
    A new IPhone case
    Slippers
Food storage containers (that keep veggies fresh)

I might look for a new alarm clock. I don't like using my phone as an alarm clock and the one I have is around 15 years old and isn't going off in the morning! Luckily, I have been waking up before the time it's set for.

I didn't have much of a wish list this year at Christmas. In early January I told my husband that I wanted pearls for my bday. Now mind you my husband is a planner. He plans everything down to a T so I really figured me wanting something that close to my bday. ( Jan 29) I would get it sometime in the next century. Well yesterday when I got home from work there were two presents sitting on my spot on the couch. I got my pearls. He even made sure he got them before my actual bday because I am flying to see my sister and wont be home on the actual day. I was sooo excited to wear them to school today.

    Nice!! Happy Birthday!
I ended up getting a nice new purse, slippers, some kitchen gadgets, gift cards, and cash from my MIL.
My husband was going to get me a Peloton bike for Christmas but they were sold out so I he said he'd try to get it for my birthday in March. We'll see!

I made a good hint for my husband, so I got what I wanted ;) We were looking for Christmas gifts for our family together and I accidentally showed him a dress from Princessly I wanted. So he had no choice but to buy it for me.

I really didn’t need or want anything. We like to go to concerts and go on trips, so we do that instead of presents.

What have you put on your Christmas/Holiday wishlist this year? Anything fun?
I want a new schoolbag and lunchbag, a bubble tea kit, some clothes, and I wouldn't mind some $$ since I'm hopefully going on a road trip in the spring to visit a friend so I'd love some extra spending money!
