I'm not sure what yours is made out of, but I have a TON of these from NYC. They sell them on the street, and I get one everytime a relative goes there. I prefer to toss mine in the washer and dryer, and it makes them really soft. Mine are usually made out of silk and pashmina, but they feel like cotton. You could also hand-wash them, and toss them in the dryer on low to add softness. I wear mine around my neck all the time, like a scarf, so they need to be really soft and flexable. Also, you're going to want to hand-wash it the first time as the dye can run really badly. I had to get all the black and pink dye out of my first two, and it took several sinks full of water.

    What does yours look like?

Sorry-the older guy is my dad, the younger guy is my brother and the girl is me. I'm sad I didn't think to take any of my mom...

Great Christmas. I surprised my son with a 360 and guitar hero. He had a playstation 2 and had been begging for it. I told him money was tight so no. Then Santa brought him a hard gun case for his competition gun. He was totally surprised. He really wanted both. I got my mom a gift certificate. I normally hate that, but she really wants a new storm door for her new house. My husband and I didn't want to pick it out for her, so we got her a gift card. She cried. My sister was home for the holidays which my kids loved. I got a new pan (which I wanted), new fisker scissors for sewing (which I wanted) jewelry, a new bed spread, and lots of bath and body. My daughter got a digital camera from Grandma and Barbie Candy Glam from Santa. She got new boots from daddy, and lots of clothes and videos from mommy. Her big brother got her a makeup case. So we all got make overs last night.

I don't play the keeping up with the Jones either. Your game sounds great! We always get a game for our kids that they get on Christmas Eve, it kept them busy and out of my hair. That is one of the best moments of Christmas. they are in their 20's and still expect a game!

What a great Christmas present for you! I hope to have grandchildren one day, right now I have a granddog! I bet Hershey will be her protector and bud. Rescue dogs are great, I have 2. They know someone saved them!

The best thing was finding out my cousin got a new laptop from her dad! She is one of those ppl that does not get the newest, latest and greatest because she can not afford it and does not save for it. She needed one tho to finish college. She called me today to tell me(I had Christmas with her on Christmas eve since she goes to her dads side Christmas day as my aunt is divorced from him). I was so happy for her.

It looks like a regular neck scarf with tassels. It's red with red paisley stitching (so you can hardly see the design.) It is about 12-14 inches wide I guess, and no idea how long. I can wrap it around my neck though, so it's long rather than square. I have no idea what the textile content is though. I looked and looked, but there is only one tag. It says Pashmina stitched in red, yellow, blue, and green letters (color blocks on the sides too) and a picture of a lamb I think. The symbols I can figure out tell me to wash in cold water, iron is OK, there is a triangle with an X through it, and a P with a circle around it. Hand Wash Dry Clean. It's absolutely gorgeous and very soft.

It rained all day on Christmas day here, which was alright w/ me. But my BF & I probably would have gone to the movies if the weather was better. It's only my parents & my BF came over of course. We stayed home all day, but we did go out for a short time to pick up the Chinese food for dinner.
