I just had an early breakfast (late dinner, really) at Denny’s: grilled haddock with lemon, red-skinned potatoes, sautéed zucchini and squash, and garlic bread. I topped it all off with an ice water with lemon. Delish!

Christmas morning is always frittata, cinnamon buns and mimosas.

I'm not sure yet about dinner; my mom will be here, but I'm not sure yet about my kids. If it's just Mom and me, I'll either make Cornish hens or a turkey breast. If the kids are here, it will be turkey with all the trimmings--mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, steamed veggies, green salad.

When I 1st glanced, I thought the list was what you were going to have for breakfast. ( I missed the line that said, " lunch/ dinner".) My 1st thought was woah, he/she is going to feel or get sick! :) Too much at 1x. :)
I usually skip breakfast, but am making the typical turkey, dressing, yams, salad, and cranberries . Others are bringing desserts and the best Brussel sprouts I have ever had. They are roasted w/ balsamic vinaigrette, pecans, bacon and I don't know what else. I know a lot of people do not like Brussel sprouts, but these are not your grandma's Brusssel sprouts! :)
I just realized that is regional. They advertise pot brownies here by saying, " These are not your Grandma's brownies." Meaning: They are much better.

We are fending for ourselves for breakfast and lunch. We are having an early supper, probably 3-ish.
    • ham
    • scalloped potatoes
    • green beans
    • rolls
    • dessert, but not sure what
We have a small family. Mom & BF, DH & me, and DSS & partner.

Since we are traveling this year, we won't be home for the traditional dinner I usually cook.
Instead, we will be in Las Vegas and plan on finding a great restaurant!

How could I forget about the dinner rolls, strawberry soda and pecan candy? Might even do pecan pie too!

I went out today and bought lots of snacks and stuff. It will just be my husband and I so I'm not cooking a meal. We'll snack on our favorites off and on all day.

It's just me and the daughter (22) but I always make a big dinner kind of lie Thanksgiving
    - ribs (this way the 3 German Shepherds can have something yummy)
    - mashed potatoes with gravy
    - maybe yams
    - 3 sides of veggies from the following: green beans, brussel sprouts, spaghetti squash, purple cabbage, zuchini and yellow squash. I usually chose different colors so it's not all yellow or green
    - salad
    -soup
    - my daughter will bake an apple pie
