You have my sympathies, Ima Teacher. Of all the house guesting complications, plumbing issues is one of the worst
Same, but it’s still better when he can have his own bathroom to use while he’s here. Fortunately they were able to get it fixed today. We just need to repair drywall and floor tiles later, but at least it is functional.
It has gotten warmer as the day has progressed. Currently I can hear wind, so I expect it to keep warming up overnight.
I did it today. Decorated the top 1/2 of the tree only. The ornaments and tinsel any lower just leads my young cats into too much temptation. It is a unique looking tree which I am sure will be included in someone else's Christmas letter. ( Mocking it! lol) It looks pretty if you focus on the top half! I tried to at least add tinsel lower, but had to take it off bc my furry friends could not help themselves!
I’m normally firmly in the “Christmas starts AFTER Thanksgiving” camp, especially after 3 years of retail, but I’ve been ready for Christmas since September this year. Our tree went up November 8, mostly because I was so excited to actually HAVE a tree this year. Currently counting down to Fall Break though — 4 days.
Don't rush time too much, time zips by fast enough as it is, ha! We'll have my mom over here. She hasn't been to our place in a few years. The last few main holidays, we've gone to her house. We'll probably have a small tree...only had lights up usually.
I don’t like Christmas music or outside decorations, but I love decorating inside the house. At this point, we haven’t put any ornaments on the tree, but everything else is done.
We're putting up our tree Thanksgiving weekend. We used to put up lights outside of the house but we might skip it. I just ordered a new wreath for the door.
It looks like my Christmas break is shorter this year because Christmas falls on the weekend. Bummer.
We get 11 days for Christmas break this year (Dec. 23-Jan. 2). It was supposed to be 10, but our Superintendent forgot to check the custodian's contract that requires the first weekday after Jan. 1 to be a holiday if Jan. 1 falls on a weekend.
I wish mine will be like this! However, I haven't decorated my home yet. I've ordered some decorations from Wish but the delivery is late. As I can see from the wish reviews it's a common situation for them. Despite this I still hope to decorate the house in time.
The last day here is Dec. 16. I agreed to sub for one of my friends on the 12th. I hadn’t planned on working any during November and December, but she’s the librarian, which won’t be too bad. She teaches two classes. I’m crossing my fingers that I don’t have to cover any classes that day. On the plus side, it is pajama day. The last day I worked was during October Red Ribbon Week, and I worked a pajama day then, too.
Welp. We have the rest of this week plus two half days next week, and I just got COVID. So I’m out the rest of this week and honestly… not too mad about it. One of my teammates also tested positive.
