So the current thing nowadays are skincare products w/ charcoal. Charcoal is known to absorb 100-200x's its weight in impurities, making it an excellent natural ingredient to help purify & deep-clean the skin.

Anyone using any charcoal products? I have:

    Garnier's face scrub
    Boscia deep-pore cleansing stick treatment
Boscia charcoal pore-minimizing hydrogel sheet mask

I just got or just started using them, so I'm excited to see how they work. Yrs ago, I got a charcoal cleanser by Origins & it was OK, so hopefully my skin will have a better effect.

I've used the charcoal cleanser by Origins, and I remember really liking it. I have oily skin and it worked really well. I have a hard time paying for really expensive face products. I usually alternate between expensive and cheaper products. Recently, I bought two economy sized face washes (gentle cleanser and exfoliating) from Nordstroms for about $110, so that'll last me a while.

Ms. I - do you think it would work for sensitive skin? I have rosacea so my skin is sensitive to new and harsh products. I've been thinking about charcoal products so I'm curious what your experience is

MLB711, my skin is sensitive, very oily, & acne-prone & the charcoal is working OK for me. I think my skin will always be oily, so there will be no way around that. I can wash my face 10x's a day, which would normally strip one's moisture, but mine will still be oily.

Buy a good quality product & try it on your chin or forehead only so if it doesn't turn out well, at least it's just on a section of your face. Keep the receipt too becasue these days, you can pretty much return anything.
