Hi everyone. I'm being observed and would love to do a lesson on Cesar Chavez. I've looked online and found tons of lessons but most are for grades much younger or older. Anyone have any ideas for a lesson that is 5th grade appropriate? I've found the book Harvesting Hope online and ordered it, but not sure if it's too easy for 5th graders. I was thinking of maybe reading that aloud and then talking about hope and have them write down one hope they have for making the world a better place -- or something along those lines. Sound okay? Any other ideas certainly welcome
