I am wanting to do the cereal box book report in my class. Does anyone have the rubric that goes with it or know where I can find one?

If they did the project; I gave them an A. I'm not real picky.

I did this and the commercial with my class. I videotaped the commercials and put them on my website. My parents loved it. I just made up a simple grading sheet with each side of the box worth 10 points, etc. Just make sure the kids don't leave cereal in the box. I had 2 leave it in and the next day was classroom was overrun with ants!

I did it out of 30 points. I broke it into 6 sections, 5 pts. each:
Front of Box (Name of Cereal, colorful, followed directions)
    Right Side (Detailed Summary)
    Left Side (Characters and Setting)
    Back (Game)
Prize (Prize related to book and was included)
Top of Box (Title, Author, Pages, Star count)

I just did these with my students. I put a table outside my door and displayed them. I've gotten a lot of positive comments from other teachers.

I have a Cereal Box Book Report Rubric that I found online that I use each year! It's very appropriate and kid/parent friendly. If you would like it, IM me with your email address. It is a PDF or Word document I think.

With what grades it is appropriate to do a cereal box book report?

Is it two juvenile for 4th graders?

If it is too juvenile -- any other ideas for wrapping up a novel unit?

Actually, a 4th grade in my school does it as well and she displays them out in the hallway for everyone to see. I actually think it is just right for 4th grade, but I make it more simplified for my 2nd graders. The write about story elements, problem/solution, exactly what 4th graders should be mastering.

I am doing a cereal box project called "Country in a Box" for social studies. I introduced it today and my students are very excited about it. Our librarian will display a lot of them in the library. I've never done it before so I am excited too!
