I cannot figure out how to get the practice test from the CBEST site to work. It says to download the java program and I did, then it says to download their file and I did. From there I have no clue what to do. Can somebody help?

Try doing a search of your system to see if the application actually did get downloaded somewhere (the filename on a Mac is something like CBEST_CAT.jar, and I would expect it to be fairly similar for Windows).

If that doesn't work, try downloading the app again.

At worst you can download the pdf version from the same place on the CBEST Web site.

I have the file, but I don't know how to use it. It obviously has something to do with java but I have no clue how to use it.

If you downloaded the Java runtime thingy, I think all you need to do is click on the icon for the CBEST test and it should run.

If only it were that easy. I guess I'll play around with it some more. Sometimes that's the best way. Thanks for the help.

I figured it out. I just had to associate the file with the right program. I did a trial and error for the files in my java directory. It ended up working with the file called "javaw". I can't be the only one having this problem, so hopefully this will help others. Thanks!
