    Hello all,

I received a call-back from a Catholic school. I love the principal and AP, we got along great. Both leaders are very progressive and share many of the same ideas I do about education. The AP said they were very interested in me and wanted to know if I am still interested in the position. Then she said that they had to talk with the parish pastor about me on Wednesday and that I would hear back from them.

My question, for those of you who interview or work with the Catholic schools, is: since I am not Catholic is there a chance the pastor will not approve of me as a new hire? Also, what was your hiring process like with the Catholic schools?

    Thanks

    Is there a chance? Sure.

But I've worked with a number of non-Catholics. At one point, 2 of our 7 department chairs were Jewish.

Best of luck with the job!
