Have any of you gone into teaching after a career change? During the interview process, I'm sure they asked, "Why teaching after _______?". I'm curious to see any answers to this question.

Any other questions I should watch for. Thanks.

my daughter's principal approached me, and asked if I wanted an aide job.

so that is my interview line.

if I had not been out of work, I probably would never consider teaching.

I thought maybe an art teacher..but not a regular teacher.

becoming an aide allowed me to spend quality time with my child, and work with children and families in my community. You are an integral part of the neighborhood. everyone you contact appreciates what you do!

I can work 9-5, catch a train to the city, and come back. get a check every two weeks for typing memos and answering phones.

    but..

when I sub, and have 18 little strangers who want to hug me...that means more than the $100 I made that day.

    be corny...be honest... be yourself

I want to teach so I can help others.
    I love children
I want to share my love for learning
I am stuck in the internet and I can't get out!

oh...that last one was me!

say it in the mirror...until it comes out as quick as your shoe size!
