Hi all - I have a favor to ask. Several customers have been contacting me saying that they are unable to see images in the store. I can't determine what could be wrong, or how widespread the issue is. The images load fine for me. Can you check to see if you can see the product images?

Here is a link to try:
    http://store.atozteacherstuff.com/download-now/stpatricksday.html

If you know any of this info, it would be helpful to include so I can determine what may be causing the problem...
    - What browser are you using?
    - Operating system? (Windows XP, Windows 98, etc.)
    - Internet provider?
    - Do you have a firewall or other software installed for security?

    Yep.

We have Internet Explorer and Windows XP.

The rest is a mystery to me. It's one of the reasons I keep my husband around.

    Ok Amanda,
I tried it on my computer I have Mac OS X. I could see the images using Safari and Firefox.
I tried on my sister's computer she has Windows XP. But she also just put in Vista (not sure what that is). Anyway I can see the images on Firefox but not on explorer.

Okay, so that makes it sound like a browser issue! Do you happen to know what version of IE it is? If you have the browser open, you can check by going to Help > About Internet Explorer.

Thanks to all who are checking!

I can't see the images. I have AOL and was using their browser and I have Windows XP with a firewall. I am going to try it using my IE browser...nope, can't see them with IE 7.0 either.

ABall, Cox is your ISP. Your browser is the program that comes up when you access A to Z. If the picture-thingie in the upper left corner of the window is a stylized lower-case e, you've got Explorer.

Jaime, Vista's an upgrade of Windows: Microsoft's attempted answer to OS X, if you will, or Trying To Keep Up With The Jobses. (Meow. Guess what kind of computer TeacherGroupie uses...)

Funny that Explorer works for some but not for others. Could something icky have been introduced between version 6 and version 7?

I won't have a chance to do more about this till over the weekend, probably.

Ah: a friend of mine who uses AOL via Cox was having Serious Issues with Internet Explorer. Wonder if AOL's part of the story, too.

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE! I think the problem must be IE 7. I just confirmed with one of the customers who had the problem that she was also using IE 7. She could view the images fine on a school computer that hadn't been updated.

Now I am off to figure out how to bypass the problem...

I THINK I have fixed the problem now. IE7 is pretty darned picky and that seems to be why it refused to display the images.

I wanted to thank everyone again. If you cared enough to read this thread for my request of help, you are welcome to use this coupon in the store... The code is 'SITECHECK'. If you place an order, you can enter SITECHECK in the blank next to Redeem Coupon during checkout. When you click the Redeem Coupon button, it will adjust your total by $2.00. :)

Not sure why, but I still can't see any images! It happens on other sites too, and sometimes in e mail messages. I just see a little box, with a red x in it. But sorry, I am so computer illiterate, I will not be any help!

I'm still updating the pages, so hopefully that's why you still can't see them. (*crossing fingers*)

Double BAH because hubby's computer is dead. It's always nice to turn on a computer and see a big black screen w/ white text saying that it can't find the Windows system file, huh? His computer has really never been used... newer than mine. GRRR...
