I have all these great teaching ideas pinned into a board on Pinterest, but my school blocks the website. So I was wondering, does your school block Pinterest? If so, what do you do to make sure you can use all the groovy ideas you've spent all that time posting?

    Thanks! :)

My district blocks Pinterest. It doesn't really matter, though, because they also block most of the blogs the pins come from.

I don't plan very much while I'm at school anyway. I do most of my planning at home. So that's where I access Pinterest.

We can't access it at school, I use my phone if I reallt need it. If I know ahead of time, I email myself the direct link and that usually works or even print it and take it with me.

It wasn't blocked last year... I'm sure it's only a matter of time though.

I haven't tried accessing it through school, but I assume it's blocked because it's similar to a blog. I need to get the app for my phone so it's easier.

I was surprised that I could access it. Now, I don't have an account with them but might google something for a lesson plan and someone's board will come up-so I assume that means it's not blocked at all.

I access it from my phone. Or if there's a specific chart I want to use, when I type my lesson plan I copy and paste a picture into my lesson plan so I have it ready and handy when I want to make the chart. Anything else would be planned or printed out at home anyways.

I like the idea of pasting pictures into my lesson plans. That's great. I really need to do all my planning on the computer, but I don't have a printer at home.

I just did a project for a computer class involving Pinterest in the classroom! I wrote a whole Wiki page about all the different ways that teachers and students can use Pinterest. I think it's blocked by my district, which is understandable but which also sort of stinks because it can be a really excellent organizational tool.

It's blocked at my school too, but like others, I do most of my planning at home. It's more relaxing anyways to kick my feet up and scroll through those pins. :D

It's blocked at our school, so are all social networks and blogs.

If we want to use our cell phone during school hours, even recess or lunch or prep, we have to leave the building, go to our car, and use the phone there.

It is blocked for all due to graphic content. We asked for it to be unblocked for teachers but tech guy said no way but it is probably for the best because I an obsessed with it.

We have a code that teachers can use to override the block. I can get on Pinterest, but some of my links are so full of graphics that not everything shows up.:( I've proposed a class idea to teach 'Pinning for Teachers' at our PD center.

I can access Pinterest at school. At a recent technology PD day I convinced the speaker from the provincial department of technology that Pinterest is beneficial for educators. He let us spend the rest of the session browsing Pinterest!!

I could access it last year but it will probably end up blocked because I used to be able to access playlist.com and it is now blocked :(

We could. I was really upset when they blocked pandora- that really got me through those teacher work days!
