At least that's what we call the night before Halloween in my area. It's sooo annoying. Kids roam the streets in packs, throwing tp in the trees, shaving cream, eggs...the grocery stores actually take shaving cream and eggs off the shelves. Supposedly, they are not allowed to go on your property. My neighbors all go outside and hang out to make sure it stays under control. There were actually moms walking with the packs last year monitoring behavior...the cops patrol and have kids turn over the shaving cream and eggs...

Anyone else have this going on? What do you all the night before Halloween?

I've never heard of this. The night before Halloween is a regular night here--although the kids may have a little more homework than usual so that they don't have any the next night.

Never heard of it. Seems really annoying. Having to clean the TP out of trees the next day...

I've never heard of it. Is there a story behind Cabbage night? I think I will google it! Doesn't sound like much fun.

In my area it is called Hobo night. Same stuff goes on, and some kids try to trick or treat, or ring bells and run. It usually doesn't get out of hand though.

I've heard of it, but never had a problem. Late Halloween night a few things happen like smashed pumpkins and egging cars on the streets. Nothing happened last year in our new neighborhood, but we have several police officers and lots of shift workers who come and go through the night.

    Mischief Night!!!

I've had my yard forked. I thought that was cute... nothing messy or gross, easy to clean up, and the kids still got their kicks and tricks on the teacher.

Never had the house TPed or shaving cream-ed. I would not be happy about that.

ick - I've never heard of that, and it doesn't sound good at all! Any mischief that takes place here will happen on Halloween night itself, but even that's not too prevalent.

It's called Devil's Night on Long Island. I live in an area with mostly elementary-aged kids, so we don't worry about it. The next town over, however, is notorious for really bad things happening, i.e. physical attacks, broken property, etc.

The police allow eggs and shaving cream being thrown? I'm surprised because both can cause damage to both cars and houses. TP us done night before homecoming game - football players homes. Never bothered me and we have a yard full of huge trees.

    Cza,
    ;)It sounds like FUN!;)
This reminds me about one of my assistant director's daughter and her little friends who egged a neighbor's house. (CA)They had to go clean it up. They all got into so much trouble; time out for 2 wks.; the kind that teenagers hate.:(
BTTS...I have never heard of this.
Night before Halloween; I am last minuting it at the grocery store to get the candies, and pretty much end up getting too much. It is fine with me, 'cause I get my favs so I can munch on it for the rest of the year. (Yeah! Right!) It never makes it past the 2nd wk of Nov.
